The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is a place that honors Vincent Van Gogh, a famous artist who had a difficult life and a sad ending. He was born in the Netherlands in 1853 and started painting without formal education. Vincent struggled with mental illness and once cut off his ear after a disagreement with his friend Paul Gauguin. Sadly, in 1890, at the age of 37, Vincent killed himself. However, his artwork continues to inspire people all over the world.
